Biography
I have been in private practice for 25yrs. working with individuals, couples, groups, and teaching classes. After working for 6 years at Beacon House as a counselor and clinical coordinator, I was employed by Community Hospital's Behavioral Health Dept. for 19 years working with patients and their families in the Recovery Center substance abuse program. I also facilitated a support group for people with Bipolar Disorder for 5 years and taught Mood Management/Daily Life Skills Classes (based on DBT) to Recovery Center patients, mental health patients, and the public for 19 years.

I believe people naturally want to have happy and fulfilling lives, but few of us grow up learning the skills to do so. In order to cope with life, we develop unhealthy behaviors and beliefs that may now be preventing you from having the life you want.

I will treat you with kindness and respect in a confidential and nonjudgmental environment. We will work together to make changes in your old unhealthy behaviors, thoughts and emotions while learning specific skills to help you reduce stress and anxiety, improve your relationships with others, be more effective in getting what you want, and decrease the scary, unwanted thoughts in your head. These skills are easy to learn and, with practice, your daily life can become much easier and more joyful.

In addition to video sessions, I see clients in person if they have received the latest COVID booster. My office is large enough to provide a social distance of 6-8 feet.
