PSYCHOTHERAPY and CONSULTATION : Adults and Professionals

Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile.
I provide Psychotherapy and Consultation Services for adults and professionals.

HEALING, GROWTH, CLARITY, and CONFIDENCE are the 4 pillars of my practice. They are the purpose of my work with each one of my clients.

PSYCHOTHERAPY:
• Adjustment in Midlife, Post-menopause, and Elder years
• Trauma, past and recent
• Painful memories
• Feeling “stuck”
•. Perfectionism
• Procrastination
• Cognitive roadblocks

CONSULTATION SPECIALITIES:
• Giftedness: Unique social-emotional needs, risks, and diagnostic challenges of gifted adults and children
• Deepening a sense of Self
• Intuition development
• High sensitivity
• Decision Making

TREATMENT • How I Work with My Clients: I am a calm, focused, experienced therapist. Some of the approaches I work with include:
EMDR, Brainspotting, Jungian/Depth Psychology, Mindfulness practices, Somatic Therapies, CBT, Imagery and Metaphor, and Writing to Heal.

I am grounded in the neurobiology of trauma, related healing treatments, brain-body-spirit dynamics. I incorporate brain education and a variety of visual aids to enhance my clients' experiences and help them understand how their brain is holding past experiences and why they get triggered.

WRITING and SPEAKING
In connection with my focus on Midlife and beyond, I wrote the book Midlife Check-in: Who Am I Really? A Guide to Deepening Your Sense of Self in Midlife and Beyond. • “The Midlife Checklist©” is a research-based, 50-item self-assessment for women and men that identifies one’s current psychological phase(s) and core influencers. I published it with my book, which is available online and at my office.

In recent years, I have taught many classes and made presentations about Midlife, Post-Menopause, and Aging Well to senior centers and community groups, professional organizations, private groups, and the Women’s Wellspring Mini Medical School.

I earned my graduate degrees at Stanford; UC, Berkeley; and Chapman Universities. In 2001, after 30+ years in Education, Management Consulting, Qualitative Evaluation, and Leadership Development, I answered my "call" to become a mental health professional. I absolutely love this work!
