Biography
I specialize in couples and adult individuals. I also work with adult families. My My primary areas of focus are trauma, sexuality, and relationships.

I warmly welcome you as you are, and hold a safe space to support your intention for growth and healing as your witness and companion.

About the work:
I offer experiential therapy, so you can go beyond cognitive understanding to actually having a transformative experience in session. I hold a body-based, integral, and spiritual frame for the work of therapy. (Somatic and transpersonal, to use psychology jargon.) This means that relief and healing can come from integrating mind with body and emotions, and expanding spiritual awareness. I have an active style that is much more than simply listening. I identify as a highly sensitive person (HSP) of gifted intelligence, both of which inform my work.

I support and facilitate the natural wisdom of your mind, body, emotions, and highest self to move towards healing by unlocking what feels stuck. How liberating it is to identify patterns that were previously unconscious. In addition to making sense of what's happening, I find that more radical change comes from new experiences of awareness that open up new choices. Together, we allow these deeper experiences to emerge through attuning to emotions and sensations with mindfulness. This holistic work can not only alleviate what is causing our pain, but also awaken our dormant potentials. We access your unique gifts, your higher awareness and develop your capacity for a heart-centered life that is a direct expression of your greatest self.

About me:
Along with my Master's degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco, I also pull from wisdom traditions including Buddhism and mystical Christianity. I am a Certified Subtle Energy Medicine Practitioner and have been working formally with subtle energy since 2007.

Additionally, I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Principia College in Illinois. My professional background includes management experience in education, non-profit publishing, human resources, and e-commerce web design/development. Born and raised in California, I have also lived in the midwest and on the east coast. I love animals, and work with my Shiba Inu as a therapy dog.
