  Psych Hike is a way for MC-CAMFT members to socialize and move our bodies while enjoying the natural beauty of the Monterey Bay area.

  Inspiration Point Trail

  We will meet right outside the parking lot by the benches and head up to Inspiration Point.

  INSPIRATION TRAIL:  4.5 mile hike, 850 FT. elevation climb

  The road leading up the mountain toward Inspiration Point is a moderate to strenuous hike. The trailhead takes you through a flat bed of non-native European grasses. The Coast Live Oak trees provide cool shade as the trail begins to get steeper. Approximately ¾ of the way, there are gorgeous views of the Carmel coast and it is a great place to take a break. Just around the corner from here is the mountaintop where hikers will be relieved from the uphill climb. To the right of the trail is a picnic bench that sits on the edge of Inspiration Point where hikers will get the bird’s eye view of Carmel and the coast nearby.

  We will be reaching out to all registrants to collect cell phone numbers the day before just in case we run into trail closures or inclement weather and have to adjust or cancel.  

  Please review our Psych Hike Activity Guidelines and Legal Waiver before registering. When you register, you’ll receive the link to sign and return your waiver.  Once we have this from you, you will not need to sign it again for future hikes.

  Programs co-chair Michael Guichet invites Monterey CAMFT members to come out, maybe grab a drink, and play trivia with other therapists. Maybe bring along a resource and book to share about. This is an unstructured event and come on by and make conversations.

  Trivia begins at 7:00 pm. Come early at 6:00 pm and socialize. We will put together teams of up to 6 people based on who attends.
